Jenny Engstrom

childhood ambition: to be in the Olympics or be a Rockette

first job: bag-girl at a grocery store

proudest moment: seeing my grandmother’s face at my college graduation (from my grandfather’s alma mater!)

biggest challenge: finding the courage to voice my ideas and opinions, especially when I have to say something is wrong and needs to change

inspiration: I’m inspired by people who are passionate about making a difference and dedicate their lives to the service of others… just like my mom

currently reading: The Solace of Leaving Early by Haven Kimmel, which I always re-read when there are big scary changes happening in my life

most surprising thing about being a librarian: I’m always surprised when people apologize for “bothering” me when they ask for help – it’s my job!

I love being a librarian because: I’m never bored!
