when I grew up, I wanted to: be a doctor, lawyer, or scientist.

now I am a: Librarian for Southeast Asian Studies.

most challenging thing about being a librarian: having to know, do, and keep up with so many things.

most surprising thing about being a librarian: how much of a people job it is and the number of hats you have to wear.

fondest childhood reading memory: going through the nooks and crannies of my house to find books to read.

I am currently reading: Life Is Short-Wear Your Party Pants.

if I could only bring one book to a deserted island, it would be: My first response to this was Shakespeare’s complete works but, as someone mentioned to me, a survival book might be most useful.

if I could step into the pages of a book, it would be: Mary Poppins

my greatest wish is: to be happy.

I love being a librarian because: there is so much variety and I get to learn all the time.

I am a: constantly-learning, love-to-travel, folklorist/ librarian.
