childhood ambition: to be a teacher

first job: Housekeeper for Willowbrook Nursing and Rehab Center (1st job ever), Interlibrary Loan Library Assistant (1st job in a library)

proudest moment: being accepted to the SLIS program at the University of Wisconsin - Madison

biggest challenge: walking the line between leader and middle manager

inspiration: Women who fight against stereotypes to be successful.

most surprising thing about being a library leader: When I find myself passionately leading when it is another’s person’s turn.

I love being a librarian because of the expression on a person’s face when they come to the realization of how pleasant it is to find the information they need and how essential the public library is in their lives.
